Your advantages… for personal membersPersonal members enjoy the benefit of being able to attend all Society and DAGStat events at favourable rates and to serve on committees of their choice free of charge. All members are encouraged and supported to participate in the activities of the Society. This includes, among other things, speaking and discussion contributions at the Society’s events and submitting manuscripts to the Society’s two journals, Advances in Statistical Analysis and Wirtschafts- und Sozialstatistisches Archiv. At the same time, the (standardised) membership is linked to the subscription to one of these journals. In the case of U30 memberships, this can be added at an extra charge. In addition to circulars, you will receive our newsletter with information on conferences and job vacancies. Each personal member can be a member of one or more committees.Membership fees (from January 1st 2023)From January 1st 2023, all personal memberships will be standardised. Membership in a committee
A member may belong to more than one committee. As a member of a committee, you have the advantage to propose an own event at your university or institution. This event can be supported by the DStatG upon request. It is also possible to apply for reimbursement of expenses for other association activities.
You can contribute creatively to the committee, plan new projects and events, and thus actively shape the life of our society.
The members of the board and the chairmen of the committees work on an honorary basis.
